Bridges of Faith

The Bridges of Faith program is our midweek faith exploration opportunity for children (K-8th grade) through adults.

We have made some exciting improvements on the program and we are equally excited to share them with you. Below is the schedule:

5:00pm-5:30pm

Elementary Age Ring & Sing: Children’s Handbells & Kidz Khoir

FaithTalk-Adult discussion group

**The middle schoolers & high schoolers are encouraged to participate in the adult handbells group which meets Wednesday evenings from 6:45pm-7:15pm and the adult choir which meets Wednesday evenings from 7:30pm-9:00pm. Information will soon be available for the middle school/high school orchestra as well. There will be opportunities for the middle school & high school students to learn how to work the sound, video & power point and they are encouraged to participate in worship as liturgists, greeters and ushers.

**The Adult Discussion group will be led by a rotating facilitator and will not be in class format. Each week there will be a new topic that will get the group involved in lively and informative conversation. There is no preparation for the discussion group! This is an open, come as you are, non-judgmental opportunity to express your thoughts & feelings about faith based topics. If you’re interested in attending this discussion group but need childcare (ie: your child is younger than Kindergarten or won’t be participating in Kidz Khoir/Ring& Sing), please let us know soon so we can schedule someone for that hour.

**The cost for the meal will be $10 per person or $40 for a family of 4 or more. There is no charge for The Bridges of Faith program itself.

In case of inclement weather, we will follow Oak Hills School District since that is where we fall. If OH is canceled, so will Bridges of Faith. If they release early, Bridges of Faith will be canceled. We WILL NOT make any snow days up as there isn’t enough time since we have extended the program from 10 weeks to 14 weeks. This does not apply to adult handbells or choir, Terri will handle those separately.

As stated above, we are extending the program for 10 weeks to 14 weeks. We won’t have Bridges of Faith Wednesday, November 25 since that is Thanksgiving week. There will be a special rehearsal for the Ring & Sing kids on Saturday, December 19 from 9am-11am to get ready for the service on Sunday, December 20. We will send out more detailed information the closer we get to that date.

Please complete the registration information and return to the church office by Sunday, September 4th so we can plan the meals and have folders ready for the children. Please make all checks payable to St. John’s Westminster Union Church.
