Mission Trip 2010:
Hammerin' in the Hills
October 21-25
This fall we will be traveling to Hazard, Kentucky to work with the Housing Development Alliance. While there, we will work on new home construction and/or home repair. No construction experience is required.
Repairs range from painting homes to building wheelchair ramps and porches. With new homes, work will be in various phases of construction, from shingling to framing floors to cleaning up and landscaping. We will also need a small team of cooks, as we are responsible for preparing our own meals, and packing our own lunches.
We will leave on Thursday in the late afternoon, and return on Monday by evening. Sunday will be a Sabbath day for us, when we can enjoy the local state park or other recreation as the group chooses. Accommodations vary, depending on the size of our group. There are cots/bunk beds, again depending on our group size.
There will be an informational/organizational meeting on Wednesday, June 16th at 7 p.m. at the church. If you even think you might be interested in this trip, please plan to attend or talk with Pastor Kathy. If you missed the meeting, please see Pastor Kathy as soon as possible.

Bridges of Faith Teachers-We need YOU!
If you are interested in helping lead our young people but don't want to miss
Sunday worship, here's your chance! We need teachers for Bridges of Faith
Wednesday evenings. We have rotating teachers so you won't have to teach
every week but I need people to volunteer so we can fill the
spots. If you're willing to give it a shot I promise you'll enjoy this as much as
they do. Contact Julie Chowning at 347-4613 or jchowning@msn.com.
